Events

In West Sussex Dave is trying something different and focussing on football and crafts. He would love to hear from anyone interested in using their skills in making cards or working with textiles to produce items for sale at craft fairs.  If you would like to get involved with any of these events do let him know:

·         Raffle in aid of SASBAH at Worthing Minors FC  end of season prizegiving – Friday 13th May, 7pm at Worthing Assembly Hall, Worthing BN11 1HQ

·         Tombola, football shooting wall and crafts at the Durrington Festival – Saturday 11th June, Pond Lane, Durrington, BN13 2RH

·         Football shooting wall at Worthing Minors FC 6-a-side football tournament – Saturday 18th June and Sunday 19th June at Pond Lane, Durrington

 

In East Sussex we will be taking part in the Sponsored Walk organised by The Rotary Club of Bexhill on Sunday 12th June.  This is a 2 mile fully accessible walk/push along the seafront, starting at 10.30am.  Members of the Local Support Group are entering this event so do come and join us – just let Claire know you want to take part and we’ll give you all the details.  Email claire@sasbah.org.uk or call 07920576313.  Then on Saturday 25th June we will be having a fundraising and awareness stall at Armed Forces Day in Egerton Park, Bexhill.  This was a busy event last year, so do come along and enjoy the fun.

 

Grand Summer Draw

 

The Draw will take place at SASBAH’s offices at Gun Hill, at 2pm, on Saturday 2nd July.  Be sure to put the date in your diary as we will be making this a fun social occasion.  There will be a Hog Roast, craft stalls and activities, entertainment and the opportunity to have a look around Saspire and find out about the supported work experience opportunities it offers.  Sara Stoner, Vice Lord Lieutenant for East Sussex will be drawing the winning ticket and the first prize is £500!!  Draw tickets, which cost £1 each and come in books of five, are available from the office, ring 01825 873045 or email office@sasbah.org.uk.  Please return counterfoils, monies and any unsold tickets to the SASBAH office.

 

 

Annual General Meeting

 

All supporters, members and anyone interested in SASBAH’s work during 2010 are welcome to come along to the AGM.  It takes place on Thursday 28th April 2011 at Ringmer Village Hall, Lewes Road, Ringmer, East Sussex, BN8 5QH. The evening commences at 7pm with the formal part of the meeting and presentations from SASBAH staff.  This will be followed by entertainment from local musicians and free food for all.  For catering purposes please do let us know if you will be attending.  Contact the office on 01825 873045 or email rom@sasbah.org.uk.

 

Quiz Night

 

Eastbourne Lodge are holding a Quiz Night on Saturday 16th April 2011 at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club, 7pm for 7.30pm, with proceeds going to the SASBAH Mini Bus Appeal.  Tickets will include a meal and entry to the quiz.  Please contact the SASBAH office on 01825 873045 or email  office@sasbah.org.uk for more information or to book tickets.Tickets cost £12.00 per person.
