Shirley McCall – fundraising success again!!
EASTBOURNE disability champion Shirley McCall staged a successful Cream Tea on Saturday afternoon to raise funds for a charity she has been appointed an Ambassador.
Around 75 people attended the event in Bodiam Crescent, Hampden Park, including Deputy Mayor Jim Murray, to support SASBAH, the Sussex Association for spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
Shirley explained to everyone that the charity is celebrating its golden anniversary in 2015 and it was a very special organisation which had supported her and a very dear friend of hers, Jean Arnold, who died last year.
A total of £405.05 was raised, and SASBAH chief executive Rom Sanglaji said it was a wonderful effort by Shirley, and he was truly grateful to her.
